Our neutron detectors use B-10+ZnS(Ag) screens read out by a PMT as the detecting element.
They can be manufactured as rods – to replace 3He-tubes – and as compact bars or paddles.
All detectors start counting neutrons when they are powered up and do not need any software support or adjustments. There are 3.3V and 5.0V digital 100ns wide pulses present on the respective output pins.
Bridgeport provide general-purpose and application-specific nuclear-radiation detection products to instrument builders.
They also have a rich knowledge base and routinely customize hardware, firmware and software to help customers distinguish their instruments from the competition.
The single-input MCA's are available as stand-alone units emorpho or integrated with a high voltage supply as oemBase and usbBase
The qMorpho is a 4-input unit that provides four independent MCA's with added support for coincidence spectroscopy.
All Bridgeport MCA's use only digital signal processing for all their tasks. These include triggering, pile-up inspection via pattern recognition and particle identification (such as neutron vs gamma discrimination) – all on the fly, without slowing down the MCA.
Bridgeport multichannel analysers (MCA) have been designed to serve all scintillator detectors – from fast plastics and high-precision LaBr3 to standard NaI(Tl), CsI(Na). One device and one software supports all.
The MCA's are very fast, with conversion times as short as 100ns, so it is never the instrument that limits throughput and precision.
Bridgeport offers a wide range of complete scintillator detector systems, in collaboration with Saint-Gobain Crystals. A system consists of the crystal, PMT, high voltage supply, MCA and magnetic shielding – all in one compact assembly.
